Fix Transcript Mistakes

Transcription isn't perfect. The Review tab collects the words the app wasn't confident about, so you can listen to each one, correct it if it's wrong, and approve it.

Open the Review tab

The Review tab sits in the Properties panel on the right side of the window, next to Properties and Effects. Its badge shows how many items are waiting. When a Transcribe run finds words to review, the panel switches to this tab on its own. Other AI tools can add items to the same tab, and they work the same way.

Items are grouped by file, and within a file by sentence. Click a file's header to collapse or expand its group. To see only the items for the clip you have selected, check Show only selected clip's items.

Listen and approve

Each row shows a flagged word or phrase with two buttons:

• The play button plays just that snippet of audio, so you can hear what was actually said.
• The checkmark approves the word. The row disappears, the count drops, and the ! badge clears from that sentence's pill on the timeline.

There is no un-approve. Once you approve an item or use Resolve all, it doesn't come back.

Correct a word

1. Click the row's text. It turns into a text field.
2. Type the correction.
3. Press Enter to commit, or Escape to cancel.

The transcript updates right away, and the sentence pill on the timeline shows the corrected wording. A row can cover a short phrase rather than a single word. Whatever you type replaces the whole flagged span, so you can fix a few words at once.

Fixing words changes the transcript only. It never cuts, moves, or deletes anything on your timeline.

Clear a whole file at once

Each file group's header has a Resolve all button. It approves every remaining item for that file in one click. The same warning applies: there is no undo for it.

If smart review fails

Sometimes the smart review step fails for one or more files. When that happens, an amber banner appears at the top of the tab, and as a fallback the tab lists every word the app was less than 50% sure about, which is usually a longer list. Click Retry smart review to run the review step again. The button reads Retrying… while it works. Retrying only re-analyzes the existing transcript. It does not transcribe your audio again, so you don't wait for a full transcription.

What you can't fix yet

Only flagged words can be corrected today. There is no way to click a word on the timeline and retype it, so if the transcriber got a word wrong without flagging it, there is no built-in way to correct that word yet.
