0.4.16
Changes since 0.4.15.
Media bin
- The colored badges are gone, and the bin now has three views. List and Grid show details in plain words, with filenames below the grid thumbnails. The new Table view lets you choose columns for details such as people, resolution, frame rate, and proxy status. See the Interface Tour.
- Switching from List to Grid no longer leaves a blank gap below the first row.
Camera Selection
- Camera priority now uses each clip's shot type from Classify, even when a track mixes different types. The per-camera list and its Scene and Exclude switches are gone. Use Exclude beside a type under Customize camera priority to leave those clips out of the selection and keep them uncut.
- Talking alone no longer makes a camera count as active. Looking into the camera or visible action takes priority, and speech picks the shot only when no camera is active.
- Camera Selection opens much faster on long recordings. Rerunning Face Tracking or Detect Motion refreshes the data the next run uses.
Fixes
- Batch Process no longer stops waiting after 30 minutes when Sync or another required step is still running. A failed step skips only the steps that depend on it.
- Cancelling any step in a batch now stops the steps that haven't started yet. Switching projects mid-batch no longer shows batch errors in the new project.
- Audio startup failures now give more specific recovery advice, and temporary audio-device failures get one automatic retry. On Linux, an unresponsive sound service no longer stalls startup.
- Find Characters results for an already-named person no longer interrupt background task status updates.
- Solar Sailer now removes recognized API keys, sign-in tokens, and passwords from diagnostic logs, crash reports, and Report a Problem… messages.
Other changes
- View > AI Assistant Panel is now View > Agent Panel.
- With Send crash reports on, a hard crash now also sends a crash dump, a snapshot of the app's memory that can include transcripts and file paths. Internal builds, such as the team installer, do this whenever crash reporting is on. Other builds do it only when Contributor mode is on too. See Troubleshooting.
